Employment experts say everything is negotiable in this job market, including the days of the week.
The white collar job market is white hot and companies are willing to negotiate everything in order to attract or keep talent. That means flexible schedules that can include working from home and a four-day workweek.
Michelle Reisdorf with the Robert Half Company in Chicago told the WBBM Noon Business Hour the HR department is being squeezed.
"Companies are being very flexible about days of the week, hours of the day," Reisdorf said.
She added that if you do negotiate the shorter schedule, you still have to do the work.
"Employee encouragement or employee productivity is not as strong or better prior to the flexible work schedule, then you have to evaluate, is it really the right solution?" Reisdorf explained.
