(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The Chicago Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted in connection to the shooting death of a National Guardsman.

Joseph Matos, also known as Troubles, is wanted in connection to the 2021 shooting of Chrys Carvajal, 19, in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood.

Carvajal was shot while leaving a Fourth of July party and was allegedly killed by Matos and fellow gang member Gary Roberson. It is believed that Matos is a member of the Milwaukee Kings street gang.

An arrest warrant was issued for Matos on May 14. FBI raided a home in Lincoln Square two days later and they were reportedly looking for Matos.

Matos faces multiple murder charges. He should be considered armed and dangerous. People should not approach him directly.

Anyone with information should contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit a tip at tips.fbi.gov.
