(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago got an early taste of summer this week, and people were spending it Thursday with a classic summer activity.
The water at 31st street beach was "really, really cold," according to Nora Doyle and Ella Throndson, who are on spring break. It did not stop them from having a good time.
Katie Schickel of Beverly said Thursday's weather is a preview of what summer might be like.
"It's amazing. It's really a reminder of all the opportunities there is to spend time in the city in the summer."
