A man from Gurnee is now facing charges in the beating death of his brother.
Prosecutors said Kevin Nicholas Biron-Bomis, 50, argued with his unidentified brother over the weekend and wound up repeatedly hitting him until he stopped breathing.
Police arrived at Biron-Bomis' house at around 1:50 a.m. Sunday and discovered the scene. They tried unsuccessfully to revive the unconscious brother, who was pronounced dead at a Waukegan hospital.
Biron-Bomis was arrested and is being held on a $5 million bond. No word on what the two men argued about.
