(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — It took several attempts, but wildlife experts were able to remove a hawk that had taken up residence in a home improvement store in far south suburban Bradley.
Mice and a dead quail were not enough to lure the red-tailed hawk down from the rafters of the Menard’s.
So, wild animal experts waited for shoppers and staff to leave before setting up their traps, the Kankakee Daily Journal reports.
Last week, a technician from a bird-removal company was able to capture the bird of prey and release it outside the store.
