CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - The Santa demand is higher than ever this holiday season.
Similar to Santa Claus, Mitch Allen, the founder of Hire Santa, has been busy all year around.
“We’ve added over 1,100 Santas to our database just this year alone, and that’s really what we have to do to plan for it as well as reaching out to clients and trying to educate people that they need to book their Santa earlier than they think they need to,” Allen said.
Hire Santa is one of the largest Kris Kringle providers in the nation, and Allen noted the demand for Santas is now back and bigger than before the COVID-19 pandemic.
No matter what holiday Allen is assisting with, he revealed to the WBBM Noon Business Hour his wishlist for the ideal Santa.
“We look at a lot of Santas, and real beard, real belly and really jolly are what you sort of have to look and feel,” said Allen. “But, it’s really that twinkle in your eye and that Christmas spirit in your heart that we’re really looking for.”
