(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Chicago auction house is selling some of magician Harry Houdini's most iconic artifacts early next month.

Potter & Potter, which is known for magic memorabilia, has some prized possessions of the iconic escape artist for sale. Among the items are a Houdini straitjacket, a wooden packing crate with his name on it and Houdini letters and unpublished photographs.

“It kind of runs the gamut of ‘Houdiniana,’ as we call it,” Potter & Potter President Gabe Fujari says.

Last year, Potter & Potter set a world record by selling a Houdini prop that was used on his final tour. It sold for $324,000, Fujari said.

The Houdini auction is Saturday April 8 online and at the auction house.
