(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A vote by the Illinois Racing Board means the closing of at least six off-track-betting parlors.
The most notable OTB closing will be Arlington Trackside at the old Arlington Racecourse in Arlington Heights. The other OTB's ending operations will be the one at Joe's on Weed Street in Chicago and in Rockford, Hodgkins, Villa Park and Green Oaks, according to the Daily Herald.
Joe's will continue to be open for all its other offerings. Four other OTB's that used to be operated by Arlington were picked up by Hawthorne Race Course.
