(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A legendary lost ocean liner will live again, at a north suburban shopping mall next year.
Imagine Exhibitions has created immersive displays from fictional worlds that include those of Harry Potter and Downton Abbey.
“Titanic: The Exhibition,” which will open in February at Old Orchard Mall, will offer a look into an historic event.
Imagine Exhibitions President and CEO Tom Zaller tells the Noon Business Hour the exhibit will include recreations of famous spaces on the ocean liner that sank on April 15, 1912 after striking an iceberg. The exhibit will also feature artifacts from the vessel and its sister ships, plus props and costumes from James Cameron’s 1997 blockbuster film.

Zaller visited the Titanic’s resting place in 2000, the year of his first Titanic exhibition in Chicago, at the Museum of Science and Industry.
“It’s been more than 20 years since I’ve presented a Titanic exhibition in the Chicagoland area and I’m extremely excited to be returning,” he said in a news release. “The story continues to fascinate people; it's every man’s story -- the story of hopes and dreams.”
