Aurora Police are sharing new footage from a house fire last month that, thanks to a fast-acting officer, resulted in no injuries.
Bodycam footage shows Officer Justin Cebulski responding to the fire at a home in the 11 hundred block of North Randall Road the morning of September 21st before Aurora Fire crews arrive.
“Whose inside? Outside, lets go! Who all is inside?”
Flames can be seen on the home’s attic and roof as Cebulski attempts to tackle a language barrier.
“Who else is inside? Personas? Otras personas?”
After learning that a man is still asleep inside the burning home, Cebulski charges inside and kicks down a bedroom door.
“Senor, lets go. Outside, outside. Fire!”
All seven people in the home were able to safely escape without injury.
“Okay, there should be nobody else.”
Police Chief Matt Thomas says in a statement “we’re grateful for Officer Cebulski’s steady focus and decisive action, and proud of the care he showed for the people in that home.”
