CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- With Women’s History Month officially underway, the Lincoln Square/Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce is shining a light on dozens of female owned businesses all month long.
Director of Marketing and Communications Melissa Franada said all it takes is a quick stroll down the main stretch of Lincoln.
“Immedately, you have women-owned business,” she said. “Restaurants like Artango Bar & Steakhouse and Café Selmarie. You also have service businesses like B. Wise Rehabilitation and DNW Luxe Hair.”
Many women-owned shops in the neighborhood are offering month long promotions.
“One of the things I am so excited to see is that these businesees are honoring Women’s History Month by doing a donation giveback on certain days," Franada said.
Franada said the chamber is also hosting small business pop-ups at the Perfect Cup on Damen every Saturday and Sunday of March.
Proceeds of the program will help support beautification efforts and local non-profits.
