SKOKIE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Authorities in Skokie are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run that killed a man Sunday afternoon.
Skokie Police said 78-year-old Alfred Slivo was killed while crossing the street near North Crawford Avenue and Kirk Street ,shortly before 4 p.m.
A preliminary investigation revealed Slivo was hit by a dark-colored vehicle driving on Crawford. Police say the car drove off after the crash.
No other details were provided.
Skokie police are handling the investigation.
