(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Police in Northwest Indiana say they have solved the theft of ammunition and other items, including stuffed deer heads, from a state wildlife area in 2018.

Nikola Kutansky of Munster allegedly broke into the office of the Willow Slough Fish and Wildlife area in Morocco.

Kutansky made off with ammunition, two signs and taxidermy mounts, including a pair of stuffed deer heads, Indiana Conservation Officer Alex Neel told WBBM Newsradio.

Police said Kutansky was arrested, after investigators got warrants to search his home.

Prosecutors have charged him with burglary and theft, both felonies.
