Man charged in Bishop Ford shooting incident

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Chicago man is now charged after a shooting on the Bishop Ford Expressway earlier this week.

Anzio J. Phillips has been charged by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm after he opened fire in the northbound lanes south of the Steel Bridge Monday afternoon.

A vehicle was struck by the gunfire, according to Illinois State Police. The driver was not injured. Phillips was taken into custody during a traffic stop. A bond hearing has not yet been scheduled.
