ELBURN, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Federal authorities are shedding new, disturbing light on why an Elburn-area man is facing new charges for online communications with children.

Sean Healey, 43 is accused of posing as a girl on Snapchat and using the app to receive sexually explicit photos and videos from at least 29 underage girls in Indiana, British Columbia and elsewhere.

In at least two cases, prosecutors said Haley threatened that if the girls stopped sending him content, it would make their photos public.

The Daily Herald reports Healy was arrested earlier this month and now faces a federal charge of sexual exploitation of children. He was already free on bond after being charged with possessing child pornography back in December.
