MCHENRY, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A woman from far northwest suburban McHenry is facing prison time after a history of drunk driving arrests.
The McHenry County State’s Attorney's office said Laura Rodriguez, 47 of McHenry has been sentenced to 13 years after pleading guilty to two Aggravated DUI charges.
Rodriguez was initially charged with Aggravated DUI on July 20th, 2021. At that time, she had five prior DUI-related charges in her history.
And while that matter was pending, prosecutors say Rodriguez was charged with drunk driving again in July 2022.
She has now been sentenced to six and half years for each of the offenses which shall be served consecutive to each other.
