CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - The night before Chicago police arrested 40 teens in the South Loop, a security guard died after removing a rowdy teen from a nearby movie theater.
The medical examiner is waiting on more tests to determine a cause of death for 72-year-old Jackey Fisher.
The Sun-Times reported he died Saturday after flagging down police to remove a teen girl from the Showplace ICON Theatre after she allegedly threw a slushy at another security guard. The paper cited a police report that said Fisher witnessed what happened but was not involved. He then passed out later and a doctor who was at the theater performed CPR and used a defibrillator.
Co-workers said the man they considered a wise older uncle had heart problems.
On Sunday, police arrested dozens of teens for disorderly conduct after they allegedly caused damage nearby and refused to leave.
