New images show car used in Hillcrest HS shooting that left a parent dead: Police

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Investigators have shared new information with the public about a shooting that left a parent dead outside of a junior high school basketball tournament in Country Club Hills.

It happened Saturday outside Hillcrest High School at about 1:30 p.m. Police said there was an argument or fight between two parents, and several people were waiting in the parking lot.

As 41-year-old Shamaree Siller, of Chicago, was walking with his son, the man was shot and later died.

Now, police have released images of a black Infiniti Q50, which they believe is connected to the shooting.

Officials said there were four people in the car who were earing hoodies and masks. The car was later seen in Chicago.

Saturday’s shooting came a little over one year after another shooting on the same campus. A 14-year-old was killed after a football game.

It remains unsolved.
