(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Stranded Southwest Airlines travelers had seemingly no alternative options when it came to finding a way out of Chicago.
From sky-high prices on other airlines for last-minute tickets to the lack of car rental availability, these stuck travelers have been in a bind.
WBBM Newsradio checked on whether a driver could rent a car at Midway Airport and drive to Orlando, Florida over the next couple of days. Not one car rental company based at Midway had a car it could rent for drop-off at another destination.
Each said the location was sold out during the dates requested.
