CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - After the armed robbery of two employees early Sunday, the owners of the Chicago music venue Martyrs' are taking their frustrations public.

The words "end crime" are written on the marquee outside the club near Lincoln and Irving Park Road. Chicago police said it was there at 4:30am that a group of four males got out of a  dark colored sedan with handguns and demanded a 22-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman's wallets. The man was hit in the head with a gun but refused treatment, police said.

The owners of Martyrs' took to Facebook to share that it took 35 minutes and three phone calls before police arrived. And, they asked how the family-owned business can stay if its staff doesn't feel safe going home after work.
