NW Side homeowner shoots alleged intruder: CPD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Charges are expected to be filed against a 39-year-old man who was shot Monday afternoon during a home invasion on the Northwest side.

The man was shot after, police said, he entered the home of a 26-year-old man on the 2100 block of North Meade Avenue “without permission.”

It happened at about 12:45 p.m.

The man who lives there shot the other man twice in the chest.  The wounded man ran from the home and was found a short distance away.

Police said he was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in serious condition.
