Recent overnight burglaries on NW Side appear to be connected: CPD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago Police have now tied eight commercial burglaries on the Northwest Side to the same crew.

They occurred early Thursday in a span of about forty minutes, between 1:50 and 2:30 a.m.

Three businesses were burglarized on the 7000 block of West Higgins. Four were hit on the 7200 block of North Harlem. One was on the 5400 block of West Devon.

In each, police said, three to four males wearing masks, gloves and dark clothing broke into businesses by breaking windows or glass doors.  They were after cash in the registers.

They were seen in a silver Kia Optima.
