CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police are warning about thefts from three U-S Postal Service trucks yesterday afternoon in less than two hours.

Detectives issued a community alert about the break-ins on the Northwest and West Sides Monday. Police said two men or young men with hoodies, masks and plastic blue gloves parked a white SUV near unoccupied postal vehicles, broke windows and stole mail and packages.

Police said the first happened near Cullom and Milwaukee in Portage Park, shortly after 4 p.m. The next occurred near Strong and Mobile. The third was on Mayfield, just south of the Eisenhower, at around 5:45 p.m.

No one is in custody.
