PHOTOS: Pair of porch pirates in South Elgin seen pillaging packages off doorsteps

SOUTH ELGIN (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police in the western suburbs are asking for the public’s help in hopes of finding a pair of porch pirates.

South Elgin Police are looking for two suspects who they say have stolen packages from the doorsteps of homes in the neighborhood.

The latest incident occurred Tuesday, April 3, shortly after 2:15 p.m, in the 0-99 block of Lake Ridge Court in the Thornwood subdivision. A Ring doorbell camera captured the two in act.

Police have released images taken from the video surveillance footage.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects or has any information about the incident is asked to contact the South Elgin Police Department’s Investigations division at 847-741-215.
