
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Investigators with the Will County Sheriff’s Office are looking to interview more people who were at a Halloween party in Joliet Township on Saturday night where gunfire killed two people and wounded others.
The sheriff's office said it was supposed to be friends and family at the party on Jackson Street involving about 50 people, but the crowd swelled to around 200 because of posts on social media.
The Chicago Tribune reported they have interviewed roughly half and want to talk to more. but some people are not cooperating.
Three people remain hospitalized, one in critical condition. They were among a dozen taken to hospitals.
Jonathan Ceballos of Joliet and Holly Matthews of Shorewood, both 22, were killed. The sheriff's office said it's believed that two people fired into the crowd from a porch.
