(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Dwight Yoakam, Erykah Badu, Ziggy Marley, the Black Crowes and Pitbull are among the musical artists who will make their debuts at Ravinia Festival this summer, while the Highland Park outdoor venue welcomes back Sting, Emmylou Harris, the Steve Miller Band, Common, John Fogerty and Bonnie Raitt, among dozens of others, in 2022.
Ravinia on Thursday morning unveiled an eclectic lineup of more than 100 performers spanning all musical genres from late May until mid-September. The schedule is billed as the first full lineup since the 2019 season that preceded the pandemic.
The full Ravinia schedule can be found here. Tickets go on sale Wednesday May 4.
“Ravinia is a happening, and people definitely plan for this,” President and CEO Jeffrey P. Haydon tells WBBM Newsradio. “Some people come multiple times a week, because the beauty of Ravinia is that there’s something for everybody. So, literally, you could come every single night during the week and get something totally different musically every single time when you come.”

Ravinia is partnering with Metra, allowing concert goers to get a free train ride with each concert ticket, he said.
The Chicago Symphony Orchestra returns for its summer residency with chief conductor Marin Alsop. Also scheduled are dance and children’s programs and live orchestra performances to accompany movies such as The Lion King and The Goonies.
Fifty artists will make their first appearances at the Ravinia Festival this summer.
