(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – The bones of a Joliet man who went missing a decade ago were recovered in Will County back in March, authorities say.

According to police, newly developed information resulted in several searches of an area east of McKay Street, including a wooded area, where two human bones were found.

The Will County Coroner's office confirmed that the bones are those of Marcus Wright, who went missing in March 2013, when he was 24 years old.

Since then, his case has remained open, and police say uncovering the circumstances surrounding Wright's disappearance "remain a priority."

They have not confirmed whether it’s a homicide investigation.
