Two men suffer life-threatening injuries in rollover crash near Woodstock

WOODSTOCK, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) —Two young men suffered life-threatening injuries in a one-vehicle crash near Woodstock Wednesday night, according to police.

McHenry County Sheriff's police said the 19-year old man from Richmond and 18-year old man from Hebron were in a pick-up truck that left the road, went into a ditch and rolled over several times.

Authorities said the crash happened at about 6:45 p.m. in an area that Google Maps shows is mostly farmland.

The 2003 Ford pick-up had been northbound on Route 47 south of Allendale Road when the crash happened. The two men were ejected from the truck and were unconscious when first responders arrived.

Both men had to be airlifted to hospitals. One was taken to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. The other was taken to Javon Bea Hospital-Riverside in Rockford. Both men are said to be in critical condition and police are still investigating the crash.
