(WBBM Newsradio) -- A search-and-rescue operation was underway in Fox Lake after a boat overturned Friday morning.
The extra-alarm response brought crews from several suburban emergency departments as well as first-responders from Lake County and the Illinois Conservation Police.
The Fox Lake Fire Prevention District says they were notified around 10 a.m. that a boat had flipped over and there were people in the water near Crabapple Island.
The Lake County Sheriff’s office says a man in his 20s did not re-surface after going into the water.
