
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — One man was killed, and two others were hospitalized after a shooting outside the Howard Red Line Station Wednesday afternoon, according to Chicago police.
Officials said the three men were standing on the sidewalk near the station shortly before 3 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up — and someone inside started shooting. All three men were struck.
One of the victims, an 18-year-old, was shot in the chest and taken to St. Francis Hospital in critical condition.
A 20-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and taken to St. Francis Hospital in good condition.
The third man was 29 years old. He was struck in the neck, back and abdomen. Police said he was also taken to St. Francis Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said no one is in custody. Area detectives are investigating.
