CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — As COVID-19 cases rise again, the city of Chicago has recommended everyone wears masks indoors but many Chicago bars and restaurants are going further by requiring them and proof of vaccination.

Lakeview restaurant MFK had been only serving diners with proof of vaccination but on Friday shut down until further notice after learning three vaccinated guests tested positive.

On Instagram, the restaurant said a staffer, who’s also fully vaccinated, tested positive too. Calling the news devastating, the owners said they won't reopen until they deem it safe.

The Chicago Tribune reported Four Moon Tavern in Roscoe Village and deli Jeff & Judes in Humboldt Park have also briefly closed after positive tests and reopened with mask mandates.
