(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — An 18-year-old man on the CTA Orange Line train near the 35th and Archer station was approached by a man with a knife who demanded personal property.
The 18-year-old refused and was cut on the forehead by the offender who then took the property and fled the scene. The victim sustained a small laceration to the head and was treated on scene but refused any further medical treatment.
The man with the knife was placed into custody a short distance away without incident. Police say he was still in possession of the victim’s property.
