CHICAGO (WBBM Newsradio) – A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed Sunday night while inside a Burger King restaurant in Chicago’s Archer Heights neighborhood.
Police said the shooting happened just after 7 p.m. at the restaurant near Pulaski Road and 40th Street. According to investigators, a Jeep drove up to the building and someone inside fired several shots into the restaurant, striking the teen in the head.
The 17-year-old was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His name has not been released.
The shooter drove off in an unknown direction, police said. No one is in custody as of Monday morning and Area One detectives are investigating.
