Tow truck driver, another man killed in Far South Side shootout: Police

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A tow truck driver and another man are dead after a shooting overnight in the Roseland neighborhood on Chicago’s Far South Side.

The men were in a shootout with each other, according to initial reports from Chicago Police. Officers responded to the area of 113th and Lowe at around 2:30 a.m. and found a 59-year-old tow truck driver had been shot in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other man, a 45-year-old was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and died there.

The flatbed of the tow truck was left in an upward position in front of a car as police investigated.
