CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Nurses at University of Illinois Chicago have set a strike date for about two weeks from now, citing an inability to find common ground.

The nurses,  there are 1,700, say they’re striking over a number of issues:  pay, working conditions, staffing, security.

Their contract expired in August.

At that time they went on a seven-day strike.

The nurses say they’ll strike on  Nov. 13  if there’s no agreement.

A statement from UI Health says it’s “disappointing.”

They do have three bargaining sessions before then.
