CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — It's another do-or-die situation for the Chicago White Sox Monday as they play their postponed ALDS Game 4 against the Houston Astros but for one superfan, cheering for the “men in black” has become a lifestyle.
Thirty-eight-year-old James Duda said even though we grew up on the city's North Side, his allegiance has always been with the South Side.
"I watched games with my father and I liked American League Baseball, so that was pretty much how it started," Duda told WBBM Newsradio.
Now he holds the longest streak for attending the most consecutive home games.
"I have a streak currently at 588 consecutive home games that started in 2013," Duda said.

Duda also started a Facebook group called "Chicago White Sox Pride & Passion" that has now gained 22,000 fans. He said it's all about sharing his love for the team and sounding off about anything and everything.
"It's mostly about just fans sharing their experience. It's just for fun, basically. And it's, for a guy like me that's a die hard, I like to discuss things with our fans," he said.
Duda has been a season ticket holder since 2006. Over his lifetime, he estimated he's been to more than 1,300 home games and more than 300 road games.
"I've got so much invested in it, time,... it's like why would I stop now when the team is good?" Duda said.
