OSWEGO, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A woman is now charged in a murder in the far southwest suburbs from several weeks ago.

The Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation said it has obtained a First-Degree Murder charge in the death investigation of a 25-year-old Oswego woman.

Oswego Police responded to 100 block of Presidential Boulevard on February 18 and found the dead woman in the driveway of the residence with an apparent gunshot wound.

The investigation over the next few weeks led police to Alexia Telles, 26 of Oswego. By the time she was charged with the murder, she was actually
already in custody on an un-related charge.

Police say the investigation is still open.
