CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police found a woman fatally shot in the head inside a South Side home.
Officers responded to an apartment at 77th and Bishop in Auburn Gresham, at about 12:50 a.m., after a report of a person with a gun. Once in the home, officers discovered a 46-year-old woman unresponsive in a bedroom with a gunshot wound to her head. She died on the scene, police said.
Soon thereafter, police apprehended a man who was running out the back of the home. Officers recovered a gun near where the man was detained.
