Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms was a guest on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” Wednesday night and told the host she had a “very good conversation" with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp.
Kemp currently has a lawsuit filed against Bottoms’ mask mandate in Atlanta.
Bottoms told Fallon that she and Kemp discussed where they disagreed and hoped that they’d be able to reach an agreement without “having to play this out in court.”
"But at the end of the day, we want the same thing. We want people to be safe, we want to stop the spread of COVID-19 and it certainly doesn't help when we're having to fight one another," Bottoms told Fallon.
