The number of COVID-19 cases is growing close to 200-thousand in Georgia. Public health officials reported an additional three-thousand-plus cases yesterday, bringing to the total to over 193-thousand.
Among those in Georgia who have tested positive for the coronavirus are former Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall and Comedian Rodney Perry. Over the weekend, Kwanza Hall shared his status on Instagram.
Comedian Rodney Perry also took to social media to announce his diagnostics. Perry live-streamed from his hospital bed in ICU and several comedians, including Tiffany Hadiash and Sherry Shepard, all joined Perry's Instagram live to give him their good wishes.
The count in Georgia is the fifth-highest among U.S. states. The seven-day average is around 36-hundred new cases a day.
