When I go to a cookout, I always ask if there if there is anything I can bring. If the answer is "nothing specific," I always try to bring something anyway. A good rule of thumb is to bring something you really want to enjoy, but enough of it for others to share…
Here's a list of winners:
A BAG OF ICE
Nothing's worse than whenever the ice runs out.
A BAG OF RED CUPS
I take that back – the only thing worse than the ice running out is when cups are a wrap.
A BOTTLE
Again, whatever your preferred beverage (adult or otherwise), bring some for you and others to share.
A CASE OF WATER
Hydration is always a win at a summer turn-up!
MY FAVORITE: ALCOHOL-INFUSED PINEAPPLES
This takes some prep, but soaking pineapple chunks in a tasty yet strong liquor overnight in a Tupperware will produce an amazingly light, yet powerful adult fruit snack.
But of course we can't stop there. For those who need a little extra guidance here are:
5 THINGS NOT TO BRING TO THE COOKOUT
YOUR FIRST ATTEMPT AT POTATO SALAD
Aint NOBODY got time for THAT.
A CHEAP/BARGAIN BRAND OF SODA, BEER OR LIQUOR
Not A good look. Quality over quantity!
