Atlanta basketball fans are getting another opportunity to witness WNBA history!

The WNBA has officially announced that the Atlanta Dream will face the Golden State Valkyries in Game 6 of the 2026 WNBA Finals at State Farm Arena on Thursday, October 29.

The game will tip off at 12:30 p.m. ET, a change from its originally scheduled 8 p.m. start time.

And for fans hoping to be part of the action, tickets go on sale Monday, October 26, at 4 p.m. ET, at AtlantaDream.com.

Atlanta Dream Return to State Farm Arena

The announcement comes after several days of uncertainty surrounding the location of Game 6.

The Dream normally play their home games at Gateway Center Arena in College Park, but the team’s historic playoff run has brought larger crowds and increased demand for tickets.

Games 3 and 4 of the WNBA Finals were held at State Farm Arena, with both games drawing sellout crowds.

Now, with the championship still up for grabs, the Dream will return to the larger downtown Atlanta venue for Game 6.

The Dream and Valkyries are currently tied 2-2 in the best-of-seven championship series, with Game 5 scheduled for Monday night, October 26, in San Francisco.

Regardless of Monday’s result, Game 6 will be played in Atlanta.

Atlanta Hawks Adjust Schedule to Accommodate Game 6

The WNBA Finals game initially presented a scheduling conflict because the Atlanta Hawks were already set to host the Cleveland Cavaliers at State Farm Arena on Thursday.

To make room for the Dream, the Hawks agreed to move their game to 8 p.m. ET, creating another exciting basketball doubleheader in downtown Atlanta.

The Dream will take the court at 12:30 p.m., followed by the Hawks later that evening.

The arrangement allows thousands of fans to watch the Dream compete for a WNBA championship in the team’s biggest home venue.
