City and community leaders have opened a cooling center at Selena S. Butler Park (98 William Holmes Borders Senior Dr. NE) where bottled water will be available. The center will remain open Monday-Friday "until further notice" from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., however, it will not be open this Friday due to July 4 holiday being observed on July 3.
