Morgan Gamble’s Parents Create Scholarship Honoring Clark Atlanta Student Killed in High-Speed Crash

What should have been an exciting final year of college for 21-year-old Morgan Lee Gamble ended in tragedy. Now, her parents are determined to make sure their daughter’s dreams and legacy continue to inspire future generations.

Brandi and George Gamble, the parents of the Clark Atlanta University senior who lost her life in a high-speed crash, joined The Big Tigger Morning Show with Francesca Amiker on V-103 to share their daughter’s story and bring awareness to a scholarship established in her honor.

Morgan Gamble was killed on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, following a crash near the intersection of Hank Aaron Drive and Glenn Street in Atlanta.

According to Atlanta police, a vehicle driven by Nikolai Dunford was allegedly traveling approximately 94 mph when it struck Morgan’s car. Morgan was transported to a hospital, where she died from her injuries. Dunford was subsequently charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, reckless driving and speeding.

The devastating crash has left Morgan’s family, friends and the Clark Atlanta University community mourning a young woman whose future was filled with promise.

Morgan was a senior majoring in Mass Media Arts Production, concentrating on television, film, producing and broadcasting. Her family remembers her as a natural-born creative who knew early on that she wanted to work behind the scenes in entertainment. From producing family talent shows to creating short films and documentaries, Morgan was already pursuing her passion long before graduation.

She had also begun making her mark professionally, working on the production of Netflix’s upcoming A Different World reboot, where she also appeared on screen. Her parents say Morgan wasn’t just focused on her own success. She wanted to help other young creatives find opportunities to pursue their dreams.

In an effort to honor their daughter’s life and continue her mission of helping others, the Gamble family has launched the Morgan Lee Scholarship, a fundraising initiative benefiting students in Clark Atlanta University’s Mass Media Arts program.

The scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to rising seniors pursuing unpaid internships.

For many college students, unpaid internships can create financial challenges, even when they offer valuable career experience. Through the Morgan Lee Scholarship, the family hopes to help aspiring filmmakers, producers, directors and broadcasters take advantage of those opportunities.

The fundraiser has a $25,000 goal, with donations going toward supporting students who share Morgan’s passion for storytelling and media production. Morgan’s own words help explain the inspiration behind the initiative:

“One day Ima be like one of those people that inspired me when I was a kid, putting back into the next gen of creatives has and will always be the goal.”

The Gamble family is inviting the Atlanta community, Clark Atlanta alumni, entertainment industry professionals and supporters of higher education to help keep Morgan’s legacy alive. Contributions to the Morgan Lee Scholarship fundraiser will support rising seniors in the university’s Mass Media Arts program who are completing unpaid internships.
