He went on to say that working on the sequel without Boseman has been “one of the more profound things” he has had to deal with in his life.
“having to be a part of keeping this project going without this particular person who is like the glue who held it together,” Coogler said, adding “I’m trying to find a work-life balance. But I’m not there yet, so this is without a question the hardest thing I’ve had to do in my professional life.”

Following Boseman’s death, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that the role of King T’Challa would not be recast in the sequel. As for Coogler, he recently signed a 5-year exclusive television deal with Disney in which he will produce several series for the studio, one which will be based on Wakanda for Disney+
