"Ideally, I wanted to carry my own child," Morton said, "things don't always happen how you want them to."

Morton shared that going through the surrogacy process has opened her eyes to how insensitive people can be when it comes to pregnancy and how judgemental people are about how one decides to carry their baby.

"Don't be one of those Hollywood people and go get a surrogate, do it yourself, do it the natural way," Morton shared examples of comments that bystanders have made.

She wants to remind people to be kind because "people are really trying" and while you may think that innocent questions like "so when are you having a baby?" are harmless, be mindful that they could be trying and are not having the best of luck.

Morton details her journey with surrogacy, sharing that she endured seven rounds of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and experienced three failed transfers. She also explained how the injections she had to give herself were "so rigorous,' in that they caused bloating, made her uncomfortable and caused ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.
