The Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers appear on another collision course for a playoff matchup. LA has won 11 straight and the Braves remain the standard in MLB this season. These two clubs have made a habit of meeting in the NLCS with the Braves getting the upper hand in 2021 during their World Series campaign.
Despite a slow start, the Dodgers have fully completed the comeback and now sit at 74-46, just four games behind the Braves in the loss column. Newly acquired pitcher Lance Lynn has been a revelation, posting a 1.44 ERA in his four starts with LA since coming over from the White Sox. Old friend Freddie Freeman is also battling Matt Olson and Ronald Acuna Jr. for NL MVP.
Dukes & Bell say the Braves need to be ready to meet LA once again
“The deal with the Dodgers is simple, they’re loaded too. Personnel wise, they’re as good as anyone in the major leagues. When you start talking about a team to beat us, just from a personnel point, forget about Freddie, think about all the other guys that they’ve got,” Carl Dukes declared.
The two sides will clash again before the playoffs begin. A four-game set will take place in LA beginning on August 31st with perhaps the best record and home field advantage in the World Series on the line.
