There will be expectations for Atlanta Falcons’ first round picks Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr. this year, and they will need to contribute if the Falcons want to be in the postseason for the first time since 2017.
However, as far as pass rush goes guys like Leonard Floyd, Kaden Elliss, and Arnold Ebiketie starting the season strong will be even more vital to the Falcons success. Ebiketie joined The Morning Shift earlier today, and talked about what he did in the offseason to make sure he can get off to a strong start this season.
“I think for me the biggest thing was adding more arsenal to my pass rush game and like just using different moves. I think those were some of the things that I tried to add to my game, so lately it’s been working so far, so just trying to get better everyday.”
Last season Arnold recorded five of his six sacks in the final six games, so if he can pick up where he left off last season, and replicate the second half of last season in the beginning of this season that’ll be just what the doctor ordered for the Falcons.
