The attorney for the family of LaShawn Thompson says a medical examiner was pressured not to include insects as a contributing factor in the man's death. Thompson was found dead in a psych ward cell at the Fulton County Jail. His body was riddled with what appeared to be insect bites. Thompson's cause of death is listed as 'undetermined'.

According to Harper, a rally and press conference are planned for Thursday outside the jail located in Atlanta. Attorney Benjamin Crump will be joined by Georgia NAACP President Gerald Griggs, Rev. Jamal Bryant, and others.

Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat, appearing on the Big Tigger Morning Show Tuesday, called the conditions in the jail "deplorable" and laid out the changes that he is making at the facility.
