
Georgia's COVID-19 hospitalizations are back at peak levels seen in January. According to the state Department of Public Health close to 56-hundred people are being treated in Georgia for COVID-related symptoms at hospitals.
The latest update indicates there are 8,403 confirmed cases in the state with 59 confirmed deaths. That brings the total to 1,065,167 cases, 72,241 hospitalizations, and 19,510 deaths.
As of today, the top 5 counties with the most confirmed COVID-19 cases are Fulton with 96,687, Gwinnett 96,187, Cobb 71,689, DeKalb 67,948, and Clayton with 29,267 confirmed cases.
ICU beds in the state are at 90-percent capacity, with some hospitals over capacity. More than 65-hundred is the new daily average for COVID-19 cases.
